Designed by George Mills' architectural firm, the mansion at 2001 Scottwood was constructed around 1897. The 1900 city directories indicated that the resident of this home was Edwin Jackson who had resided at 2065 Scottwood according to the 1896 directory. Mr. Jackson was the president of the Merchants National Bank. Mrs. Adelaide Jackson was the widow of Edwin by the time the 1910 directory was published. Mrs. Jackson still resided here in 1921 along with her live-in domestic Thersa Rotterer. | |||||
