William Von Behren, a travel agent (salesman) lived at 2149 Scottwood according to the 1900 Polk City Directory.  In 1910 Mary Von Behren, the widow of William, boarded here.  Her name was still listed as a resident here in 1921.  Son William E. Von Behren was the manager of the Auburndale Hardware Company.  He was listed in the 1918 directory but was deceased by 1921.  The 1921 directory listed roomer Bessie Von Behren as the widow of William Jr, and William B. Von Behren as a roomer also.  Harry Higgins of the Higgins Manufacturing Company roomed here in 1921.
