2137 Robinwood was home to Amanda Ayers, widow of Samuel Ayers according to both the 1896 and 1900  Polk city directories.  The 1910 directory listed Clinton Hickok, the president-treasurer of the Whitney & Currier Company.  His wife was Grace (Cronise) Hickok, the widow of Henry Ruggles.  Her mother, Elizabeth Cronise, the widow of Thomas Cronise, also lived here in 1910.  The house , fully described, was listed for sale in the April 14, 1911 issue of the Toledo News-Bee.  Dr. Thomas Cronise's biography and photograph appeared in Memoirs of Lucas County on page 157.  George Colton who was in the insurance business was listed as the resident in the 1921 directory.
