The 1891 Polk City Directory listed Frank Van Hoesen as the resident of the now-demolished 532 Virginia. Mr. Van Hoesen was an agent with the Northwest Mutual Life Insurance Company. Later, the 1900 directory listed the occupant as Thomas Magee of Davis & Magee. Robert West became the resident in 1910. Mr. West was the president of the West Fuel Company. His biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 685. West's wife was Elizabeth (Dority) West. Lawyer Harry Adams was listed as the occupant of this home in 1918. Laura Adams, a teacher at Scott High School, roomed here in 1918. | |||||
