The Lucas County Auditor's records listed 612 Virginia as being constructed in 1892. In 1896 the Polk City Directory listed Rowena Eaton, the widow of Charles Eaton, as the resident. Rowena Eaton employed Clara Dwinell as her live-in domestic in 1900. Cornelia Bowring, a teacher and the widow of Edwin Bowring, lived here in 1910. Bessie Bowring, a teacher at the Auburndale School, boarded here that same year. The Bowrings' live-in help was Emma Dreier. Jennie Lamson, the widow of John Lamson, lived here in 1918. The 1921 directory listed Cornelia Bowring as a roomer in the house. | |||||
