1892 was the construction year for 626 Virginia according to the Lucas County Ausditor's records.  Harry Compton, a lawyer at 203 The Valentine, was the occupant in 1900.  The 1910 Polk City Directory listed Carl Fischer as the resident of this home.  Mr. Fischer's biography and photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 460.  Also listed in the 1910 city directory at this address was Ignaz Fischer who had a music store at 506 Adams and boarder Alphonzo Fischer who was a clerk in that same store.  John McKinley was the resident in 1918.
