Monroe School at Lawrence Avenue and Monroe Street.  The original construction dates from circa 1890.  It was later enlarged to serve the children from the newly-built suburb of Ottawa Hills whose children were bused to the school.  By 1965, it was demolished for the construction of the I-75 expressway.
