607 Acklin
 

607 Acklin was home to John Bour of the J. M. Bour & Company which sold Eagle Spice Mills from 140 Summit in 1891.  His biography and photograph appeared in the Toledo & Lucas County Supplement on page 95.   Mr. Bour's wife was Carolyn (Kendrick) Bour.   The 1900, 1910, 1921 and 1924 city directories listed Willard Beattie, the secretary and treasurer of the J. W. Bour Company.  By 1924 Mr. Beattie was the sales director of the Gasser Coffee Company.  His wife was Hattie Beattie.  The 1900  city directory listed the Beattie's live-in domestic as Martha Manzy.  Willared Beattie Jr. roomed here in 1918 and 1921.
