A 1912 view of 2308 Ashland Avenue shows this now-demolished mansion.  The 1891 Polk City Directory listed Aaron Chesbrough as the resident of this home.  His biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 82. That same year Sarah Chesborough, the widwo of Alonzo, also lived here. In 1896, Flora Ault was employed as a domestic, while in1900 Katherine Cryan was the family housekeeper.   In 1900 Belle Robinson was the live-in cook, while in 1910 James Loipes was the live-in butler and Anna Koch was the domestic.
