Herman Giese resided at 523 Cadillac Court in 1918. Mr. Giese was the president and secretary of the Giese Brothers Company which sold coke and coal at 1722-26 Starr. The 1921 directory listed Asbury Bushnell, the manager of the Underwood Typewriter Company, as the occupant of this home. Louella Brown, the widow of George Brown, was a later occupant according to the 1924 city directory. Leonard Donovan and his wife Elizabeth Donovan lived here in 1935. Mr. Donovan, a lawyer, was the subject of a biography that appeared in Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 4 on page 467. | |||||
