The 1910 and 1912 Polk city directories listed John Stumme as the resident of 523 Collins.  Mr. Stumme was the department manager of Thompson-Hudson Company.  The 1911 directory listed 523 as vacant.  However, John Stumme was listed as living at 525 Collins that year.  The 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories listed Henry Niehaus, a teller at the 2nd. National Bank, as the resident of this home.  His wife was Edith Niehaus.
