Pastor George Belsey of the Plymouth Congregational Church was the occupant according to the 1900 city directory. The 1910 directory listed the resident as Joseph Mertes, an assistant agent with the Wabash Railroad Company. Mamie Hentges was employed by the Mertes' family as their live-in domestic. !918 saw Edwin Blackmore as the new occupant of the house along with Alvin Blackmore, Irving Blackmore, Sadie Blackmore and Lorna Blackmore who roomed here. | |||||
