The 1910 Polk City Directory listed Harry Burkhart as the resident at 239 Winthrop.  Mr. Burkhart was the manager of the Toledo Electric Sign Company.  The family's live-in domestic in 1910 was Pauline Kosmider.  The 1911 and 1912 city directories listed Edwin Hayden, a manufacturer's agent doing business at 357 W. Bancroft, as the occupant of this home.  Henry Bowers, the treasurer of Toledo Sales & Engine Company, was listed as the resident in the 1918 and 1921 directories.
