The 1907, 1910 and 1912  Polk city directories listed Frederick Smith as the resident of 335 Winthrop.  Mr. Smith was the president of The Newton Horse Remedy Company.  The 1918 and 1921 city directories listed Wade Holland as the occupant of this home.  Mr. Holland was the president of the Toledo Bread Company and later the Holland Bread Company.
