425 Winthrop-Miltimore

One of Toledo's most fashionable addresses was the Miltimore, 425 Winthrop Street at Ashland.  Designed by George Mills and built around 1902-04 for Aaron Chesbrough, it was one of the most luxrious apartment buildings in Toledo.  Later, home to Local 12 Chapter of the United Auto Workers, it was demolished in 1971 and is currently a parking lot.
