Both the 1918 and the 1921 Polk city directories listed Galen Bowman as the resident at 2847 Parkwood. Dr. Bowman, a physician with offices at 301 The Wedgewood Building and 3125 Lagrange, was the subject of his biography in the book Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 613.  His wife was Helen (Powers) Bowman.  In 1921 their three daughters boarded here including Helen Margaret Bowman, Sarah Jane Bowman, and Harriet Ann Bowman.
