Alpha Phi Omega, a University of Toledo fraternity, was located in this home at 3128 Collingwood at one time. Dale and Hazle Redd were the "house parents." Dale Redd, their son, provided us with this vintage photograph of the now-demolished house.
Now demolished, 2247 Collingwood was the home of pioneer auto parts manufacturer Thomas W. Warner Jr. and his wife Nettie between 1914 and 1925, having moved to this mansion from #2 Harold Arms Terrace
Warner was the President and General Manager of the Warner Manufacturing Company. His company, which had been making gears and a vertical two-cylinder engine since 1901, was acquired by the Chevrolet Company of New York in 1916.
