Constructed in 1910, the house at 2815 Collingwood was the home of Judge John Killits and his wife Alice (Nourse) Killits, recently from Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Killits was the judge of the Northern Ohio Circuit Court and was appointed to that position by President Taft. Judge Killits' biography appeared in Toledo and Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 672. He was also the editor of that three-volume set of biographies The couple were the parents of two children, Alice and Edith. Alice became the wife of Harry Gardner of Bryan and Edith married Dr. Howard Smallman of Barberton, Ohio. 2815 was built in the Mediterranean Revival style and once had an open porch which was enclosed around 1916. The garage was built in 1921. | |||||
