2701 Collingwood was home to Eliza Kent according to the 1907 through 1911 Polk city directories. Eliza Kent died August 12, 1911 at age 64. Kent Library on Collingwood at Central was named in her honor. Alice Larrick, a dressmaker, who boarded here in 1910, was still listed in the 1912 city directory listed as a resident and also Mrs. Harriet Williams. According to the 1918 and 1921 city directories, George Palmer was the next occupant. Mr. Palmer was the president of the Palmer-Blair Company and the Kenwood Realty Company. Gertrude Weigert was the live-in domestic in 1921. | |||||
