Architect Arland Johnson whose office was located at 708 Spitzer Building designed his own home at 2702 Collingwood.  The 1907-1912 Polk city directories have him as its resident.  Frederick Hegamaster and his wife Nellie (Zingg) Hegamaster resided here next according to the 1918 and 1921 city directories.  Mr. Hegamaster was the president of the Ohio & Michigan Paper Company.  His biography and photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 212.  Their son Donald Hegamaster roomed with them.
