The Lucas County Auditor's Office listed 2111 Glenwood as being constructed in 1917. The previous home on this site was built in 1892 at a cost of $4,000 and was designed by Norval Bacon. Widow Carrie Farley still lived here in 1910 along with daughter Daisy (Farley) Semple, a teacher at Monroe School. Dr. Sidney Foster lived in the original home in 1910, but becomes the occupant of House #1 in 1918, along with Alex Smith (House #2) whose biography may be read in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 624., and William Webster (House #3) of the Willys-Overland Company. | |||||
