Designed by David L. Stine and built in 1892 for the sum of $3,500, the home at 2359 Glenwood was occupied by James Emery of Emery & Smith according to the 1896 Polk City Directory. William Emery, a student, boarded here as well as Arthur Emery, a stenographer with the Chamber of Commerce. Also, Delos Blood boarded here in 1896. The 1900 directory listed Grant Fisk, a travel agent, and boarders George Boots, Edward Boots, and Lena Moltz. Both the 1911 and 1912 city directories listed the property as "vacant". | |||||
