2290 Ashland Avenue became the parish house of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in 1907.  A 1908 Toledo City Directory lists Dr. J T. O'Connell as its occupant.  John C Whalen took this photograph around 1911.  His namesake and grandson John Whalen donated this image
