628 Baldwin Place is the subject of this circa 1937 photograph.  It was constructed around 1915 on lot #10 in the Hamilton's Extension of Baldwin Heights.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Homer Metzger as the resident of this home.  Mr. Metzger was the treasurer of the Metzger Seed & Oil Company.  George Talty was the renter in 1920 along with his wife Frances and his mother Mary Talty.  Mr. Talty was a salesman.  632 Baldwin was home to Jacob Betz who operated a lunchroom and soft drink operation at 441 St. Clair, according to the 1918 and 1921 directories.
