2921 Burnett Place was the home of Harry Day, a watchman, according to the 1918 Polk City Directory.  The 1921 and 1924 city directories listed Nathaniel Schmid, the department manager of the Woolson Spice Company.  No wife was listed in the 1924, 1925 or 1928 directories.  Mr. Schmid continued his residence those years in this house.
