439 Floyd was home to William Burgess, a foreman, in 1900. Martha Burgess, a teacher, and Margaret Burgess, a student, roomed here. Mrs. Ellen Snell was the resident by 1910. Frances Snell boarded here in 1910 as well as Margorie Snell, a stenographer with the National Union Senate. Ross Ayers, a moldmaker, was the occupant in 1921. The April 22, 1938 Toledo News-Bee reported that Mrs. Mae Smith of 439 Floyd took an oath of naturalization. Because she had married an alien before February 27, 1922 she had lost her citizenship. | |||||
