According to the Lucas County Auditor's records, 2346 Lawrence was built in 1889 on lot #2 of the Hollywood Addition.  It was home to the Harroun family according to the 1891 Polk City Directory.  Dr. David Harroun was a dentist whose office was located at 41 Currier Building.  The 1900 city directory revealed that Dr. Harroun employed a live-in domestic by the name of Alvina Kruse.  David A. Harroun was listed in the 1910 city directory as the chief deputy county treasurer.  He still lived at this address in 1921.
