838 Nessle was pictured in the December 4, 1909 issue of the Toledo News-Bee. The $3,000 house was being advertised for sale for $2,600 if the interested party could buy it within 10 days. The house featured seven large rooms with gas and electric lights. See J. H. Weaver at 849 Nessle The 1910 and 1918 city directories listed Jessie H. Weaver as the occupant of this home at 838 Nessle. Jesse Weaver was a contractor working from his house which he shared with his wife Luella. He may be the one who built this house. A photo of 12 year-old Thomas Gibbins, a News-Bee carrier and resident of 838, appeared in the June 22, 1936 issue of that paper. | |||||
