The 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories listed the occupant of 2844 Rockwood Place as Edward Holmes, a civil engineer.  His occupation was listed as a department manager with the Continental  Casualty Company in the 1924 city directory.  His wife was Edith Holmes.  Grant Holmes, a superintendent of the Individual Taining Department for the Toledo Public Schools, roomed here in 1921.
