2848 Rockwood Place was home to George Vradenburg, the vice-president and general manager of the Toledo Seed & Oil Company, according to the 1918, 1921 and 1924 city directories. Mr. Vradenburg's biography and photograph appeared in Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 3 on page 260. His wife was Lena (Bushong) Vradenburg. The 1935 directory listed Ellen Kerlin, a stenographer, as a roomer here. Her biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 317.
