The 1910, 1918 and 1921 city directories listed Frederick Gaines as the occupant of 2621 Parkwood.  Mr. Gaines was a lawyer and deputy clerk of the United States District Court and United States Commissioner at the Federal Building in 1910.  His biography and personal photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 308.  Another image of Mr. Gaines appeared in the group photograph entitled "Bar and Bench Toledo Ohio 1926".  His wife was Fanny Gaines.  James Gaines, a student,  and Bertha Gaines, a teacher, also lived here.
