Constructed in 1909 by contractor Nathaniel Heffelbower, this house at 2720 Robinwood became the home of the Charles Bartenbaach family by 1910.  The family employed a domestic by the name of Rose Spitzer.  In 1918 E. W. Doherty and his wife Charlotte were the occupants.  Dr. Doherty was a physican whose office was located at 2488 Detroit.  J. M. Podmore commissioned Rheinfrank-Forster Company to develop plans to remodel the original house in 1926.
