New-York born Reuben Gee and his wife Delia Gee purchased 2836 Scottwood in late 1915. The 1920 Census listed owner 79 year-old Reuben Gee, his wife, son Edwin Gee along with his wife Luella and their children Helen Gee and Edwin M. Gee Jr. Edwin Sr. was an architect for the Toledo Public Schools and designed many of Toledo's now-demolished school buildings including Libbey High School. The house sits on lot 2 J.P. Coates Parkwood Heights Addition. The family sold the property in 1950. The Polk City Directory indicates that Edwin Gee was the resident at 2734 Scottwood in 1916. | |||||
