The 1921 Polk City Directory listed Edward Hopkins as the resident of 2245 Scottwood.  He was the vice-president and naval architect with the Toledo Shipbuilding Company.  His biography and personal photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 288 and Maumee Valley, Toledo and the Sandusky Region Vol. 3 on page 608.  His wife was Grace Hopkins.
