2548 Scottwood was constructed in 1906 by George Lathrop for $3500. The house in 1910 was home to Andrew Hunker who was a special agent with the Travelers Insurance Company. John Hunker boarded in the home. The Hunker's live-in domestic was Elizabeth Nagel that year. By the time the 1918 directory was published, Lewis Maxwell was the resident of this home.
