2907 Scottwood was home to William Githens, the manager of the Prudential Insurance Company of America for Northwestern Ohio and Southern Michigan, according to the 1911 city directory.  The 1912 directory listed Samuel Rottenstein as the resident.  Arthur Gruveer, the medical examiner for the Pennsylvania System, was a later occupant according to both the 1918 and 1921 Polk city directories.  Arthur L., Marion and Lester all roomed at this home.
