2539 Scottwood Avenue was listed for sale for the consideration of $5,400 by the Irving B Hiett Company in a July 23, 1910 edition of the Toledo News Bee.  The house was described as strictly modern with hot water, bath, 2 mantels and 2 grates, hardwood floors and finish.  Additionally, the advertisement stated that the location was in a select residence section with convenience to the best car service.
