The November 9, 1907 edition of the Toledo News Bee advertised the sale of 3142 Scottwood Avenue by the Charles Fox Realty Company.  The advertisement described the house as a beautiful seven-room strictly modern residence with hardwood floors and finish as well as gas and electricity.   "Don't miss it", the realtor wrote.
