The Carl E. Mehring Company designed and built the home at No. 15 Birckhead Place for Judge James Martin.  The cement walks and drive to this home were installed by John J. Schachtler, a cement contractor at 1041 Alcott Avenue.  The door weatherstripping and screens were furnished by T. B. Pinkelman of the Dorr Street Weatherstrip and Screen Company.
