1 Bronson Place was the home of the Harry King family. After the Kings died, the mansion was rented by the Glengary County Club. It was not rented for residential use because the property had been zoned commercial since 1923. Later, a plan to demolish the house and replace it with a supermarket was opposed by many Bronson Place residents. The house was left vacant while the "zoning fight" continued. The 5/12/42 issue of the Toledo News Bee reported that two men were arrested for stealing 9 radiators valued at $70 from the unoccupied house. It was later demolished. | |||||
