The Banting Manufacturing Company was constructed at 2979 Dorr Street (now renumbered 2375).  The business began January 18, 1915 and was sold to the Surface Combustion Company in April of 1930.  The president was John Banting of 2521 Parkwood along with his son and secretary of the company, Carlos Banting of 2455 Robinwood.  Drawing courtesy of Craig Detwiler.
