The Charles Motten home, 1517 Waverly Avenue in the Fairmont Park addition, was designed and built in 1922 by the Carl E. Mehring Company, architects and builders.  Mr. Mehring employed his own skilled architects to help his clients achieve their goals for their dream home.  Then his own skilled craftsmen executed the approved plans.
