2421 and 2423 Parkwood first appeared in the 1912 Polk City Directory. 2421 was home to H. Ernest Berry, while Alfred Brenton lived in 2423.  Mr. Berry was a department manager with the Lion Dry Goods Store and Mr. Brenton was a clerk with the Penna Lines.  Michael Sullivan lived at 2423 Parkwood in 1918.  Mr. Sullivan was an agent with M. A. Hanna Coal Company and the superintendent of the Ironville Dock & Coal Company.  The 1921 Polk City Directory listed Emil Eppstein as the resident. along with Paul Eppstein and Arthur Eppstein, a student, who roomed here.
