2124 Parkwood (now demolished) was home to the Charles E. Spayd family. Mr. Spayd was a druggist and seller of teas, coffees and spice from his business located at 309-311 Monroe. Edith Spayd who lived here clerked at the store. Mary Spayd also boarded in this fine home. The mansion was demolished by the mid1940s. | |||||
