Built in 1889 at a cost of $4,000, 2134 Parkwood was home to William Bennett, according to the 1891 Polk City Directory. Mr. Bennett was the general freight and passenger agent for the A & NW Railroad. The 1900 city directory listed Mr. Bennett's occupation as the secretary and treasurer of the Toledo Ice and Coal Company. John Bennett boarded here in 1891. The 1891 live-in domesitc was Leona Van Hulle and May Cordrey served in 1900. James LaSalle, a physician, was listed as the occupant in the 1910 directory, while Oliver Hiett, who was with the Irving B. Hiett Company, lived here in 1921. | |||||
