John Kumler Jr. lived in this house according to the 1912 and 1918 Polk city directories. He was a lawyer with his office in the Nicholas Building. By 1921, the listing in the city directory showed us that the resident was now George Wise, an assistant secretary with the Commerce Guardian Bank, while the 1925 directory listed Stacy and Mary McNary as the residents.
