1910 was the year that William Shepard lived at 2639 Scottwood Avenue.  Mr. Shepard was a clerk with the Toledo Grain & Milling Company.  1911 saw salesman Charles Weaver as the resident.  The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Justus Alvord, a general agent with the National Life Insurance Comapny, while the 1912 directory listed Charles Pegg, the department manager of the Boer Company.  The 1921 directory lsited George Close Jr. who sold autos at 1102--04 Madison Avenue.  In 1918, student Helen Alvord roomed in her parents' home.
