3015 Scottwood

3015 Scottwood first appeared in the 1912 Polk City Directory.  It was the residence of H. Lee Stumpenhusen, a traffic manager and by 1918 to machinist Charles Hemminger.  Roy Hemminger, a soldier, roomed here that same year.  By the time the 1921 Polk City Directory was published, the new resident was Fred Starkey, an electrician whose shop was located at 3115 Detroit Aveneue.  A chimney fire was reported in the March 15, 1937 issue of the Toledo News-Bee.  The Reverend William Blume of the Central Methodist Church, his wife and two sons safely escaped.
