For the consideration of $3,200, one could buy the seven-room residence at 3137 Scottwood in 1909.  The October 23, 1909 edition of the Toledo News Bee posted an advertisement by the Irving B Hiett for its sale.  It was described as modern with a mantel and grate, both gases, electric lights, one-half block from the trolley car and a five minutes' walk to the Overland Plant.
