"Bronson Place", the original 1850 home of Calvin Bronson, can be seen to the right in this postcard. Mr. Bronson, a tobacco manufacturer, had built his estate way out Cherry Street. Harry King of 1 Bronson Place later purchased the Bronson homestead and intended to demolish it. Instead his wife offered to sell it to the Toledo Woman's Club as their club house in 1911. The women made the purchase and remained at that location for years. | |||||
